Small Business Development, RNDC

Frank Hulse, Pioche

Frank Hulse was hired as a Business Consultant for the Rural Nevada Development Corporation in December. Frank is a lifetime resident of Lincoln County and has served as the County Recorder, County Manager, and County Surveyor for the County. Frank has run his own surveying business in Lincoln County for many years. He is a graduate of the University Nevada, Las Vegas with a BA degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics.

Frank has always been interested in history of Eastern Nevada, and in the people of the area and their pursuits. He has a vast knowledge of the region and is looking forward to working with the local business and owners with their needs and hopes for the future.

 

RNDC Lending

Mary Kerner is the Lending Administrator for the Rural Nevada Development Corporation (RNDC) in Ely, Nevada. She services all of Nevada – rural wide including the 27 Native American Indian Tribes.  RNDC provides economic development assistance, financing opportunities to small businesses, and healthy, safe, affordable housing to persons in Rural Nevada.

Mary has more than 15 years experience in banking, finance and lending. She has a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management from Colorado Technical University. She is certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional from the National Development Council.  Mary was the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Financial Services Champion of the Year in 2009 for the State of Nevada and Region 9.

Mary is very passionate about helping small business owners with their endeavor. She is very active in her community from volunteering her time teaching financial literacy courses, to being in charge of the youth soccer program and everything in between.  She enjoys spending her free time with her family. Living in Ely lends itself well to four seasons, thus all kinds of outdoors activities!
